Re-inventing the Wheel – When buying a new domain is not the best idea

I have made many mistakes in my life but by far the one I regret the most, at this moment, is not buying the domain of my initial blog name.

It has taken a lot of work, sleepless nights to reach where I was in six months of blogging. Even though I was not really satisfied with my efforts, I still think that I tried.

Now after buying a totally new domain, I find it difficult to carry my hard work with me. Sure I have transferred the posts but the backlinks, readers and comments have stayed back.

I am going to give my best shot in regaining my readership but I need your help. If you liked what used to happen on this blog, please visit it at its new address –

Read my post about the challenges I’m facing at my new blog.

Even if you don’t, I will be contacting each one of you individually ONCE. I don’t want to be spammy so I hope we’ll reconnect soon.

Even if you choose not to come, just know that I loved connecting with you here and I’m thankful that you took out the time to read my posts. Thank you for your support till this point and I wish you all the very best in life and blogging.

Have a great day!

The Time Has Come…

After a few days of ‘running’ back and forth between my new website ( and this blog (, I have finally gathered the courage to start deleting data from ‘Beyond Beauty Tips’.

Everything has moved to ‘Things To Rave About’ smoothly (for the most part) and now it is time to say goodbye to BBT. I wanted to leave it as it was but the problem of dealing with duplicate content etc etc has made me think about closing the door here. I will leave a few posts here that I did not deem fit on my new website before closing this down. Please visit my new website and SUBSCRIBE/LIKE/COMMENT there, it is a little lonely there right now.

Other ways to connect with me:

I hope to connect with you again soon. Thanks for supporting me in my journey.

I Don’t Live Here Anymore – Come to TRA

I have been a little off course with my blogging here and the reason behind that was a soft tissue injury to my right hand/wrist. While I was resting, I got to thinking about starting my own website. I already have a domain hosted at ‘’ but after days of toying with the idea of starting my self-hosted website, I have taken the leap and done it.

I am happy with BBT was able to achieve (from 1st December 2012 to 1st May 2013):
250+ readers, 6000+ views, 143 Posts and 2 awards in 5 months

I am unsure about the future, as we all are, but I do not want to live in the ‘what-if’ anymore. It took a lot of time in convincing myself into investing towards a self-hosted website (
I have exported the data from BBT (this blog) to my new website Things To Rave About. I am still setting up things, learning my way around

I suppose it will take a week or more for it to be the way I have envisioned it. I’d love if you’d come and say, ‘Hi!’. Everything else will remain the same. I am not ready to say goodbye to BBT so I am leaving it up for now but I’ll be posting on TRA only!

Thank you for supporting my blog since its inception. It is because of you, my readers, that I got the confidence to take this step. Hope to see you there!

Hope you have a great day!

Another Dose of SPAM fun

It’s been a while since I shared some wonderful comments I’ve received on my blog. Today I present five of the total SPAMs in my queue.

I hope you have fun!

Mattie: I rarely drop comments, but i did a few searching and wound up here. And I actually do have a couple of questions for you if you do not mind. Is it just me or does it look like a few of these responses come across as if they are written by brain dead folks? :-P  And, if you are posting on additional social sites, I’d like to follow anything new you have to post. Could you make a list of every one of all your shared sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
BBT: You seem so genuine, why don’t I give you my password also!

Hacked games: Hello, you used to write great, but the last few posts have been kinda boring… I miss your great writings. Past several posts are just a bit out of track! come on!
BBT: I suggest you stop coming to my blog because I will continue writing that way.

Video Porno  Gratuite: Hi! This post could not be written any better!
Reading this post reminds me of my previous room mate! He always kept chatting about this.  I will forward this article to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Many thanks for sharing!
BBT: I totally agree with you. This post could not have been written any better. And share this post with all of your friends and family too.

Mona Lofgreen: Youre not the largely blog article writer, staff. You completely have a bit important to bring about the web. Such a fantastic blog. Unpleasantly homecoming again pertaining to further.
BBT: ???

horny hot: That is very attention-grabbing, You’re a very skilled blogger. I have joined your rss feed and look forward to seeking more of your wonderful post. Also, I’ve shared your website in my social networks!
BBT: You are just the kind of reader I write for!

Horny Hot: naturally like your web-site however you have to test the spelling on quite a few of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very bothersome to inform the reality on the other hand I’ll surely come back again.
BBT: Look who is contradicting himself! I look forward to your return.

sweater korea: This sweater comes in many colors ranging from ivory to
black and also comes in sizes from small to XXL in men’s. Those fault lines not only pointed at Nick, but they also pointed at various sets of parents, friends, neighbors. The brand has sustained the time testing any brand goes through over the decades thanks to mouth-publicity it receives.
BBT: I would like to order one in each color.

Thank you for reading my blog. Have a great day!

Repressed Grammar: The Eight Parts of Speech

My love for English language has not been documented in my blog yet. Here is my big confession – I love English even though it does not come naturally to me. It fascinates me and leaves me wanting to learn more.
Here is a gem of a post written by one of my favorite bloggers about the ‘Eight parts of speech’. A ‘small’ post about the ‘big’ things!
Please check out Apoplectic Apostrophes for more insights into the language and some awesome fiction to read (for free)!

Thank you for reading my blog. Have a great day!

Apoplectic Apostrophes

Quick, can you name all eight? No need to self-flagellate if you can’t – unless, of course, that’s your thing. Even I struggle to list all eight when I throw myself a pop quiz while lying in bed at night. Yep. My life is just that exciting.

Let's follow that star!So I realized that I haven’t covered the absolute basics of English grammar, our beloved eight parts of speech. Most of us learn the parts of speech in elementary school and then promptly relegate them to the backs of our minds, where they hang out with fractions, plant anatomy and all the different varieties of clouds.

Unlike fractions, stamens and cirrus clouds, most of us use those eight parts of speech every day, so I though it might be a good idea to refresh our collective memories.

1. Verb: A verb expresses actions, events or states – it tells us something about…
